TOM DONOGHUE

Director | Senior Valuer
AAPI Certified Practising Valuer

Tom grew up on a mixed rural enterprise in the Gunnedah District, completing agricultural studies at Sydney University (Orange Campus) and property qualifications through the University of South Australia. He has an extensive knowledge of the agricultural sector and post university, owned and operated mixed farming enterprises in the Gunnedah and Mullaley area. During this time, he furthered his professional development through the Principle Focus network completing their Management Program. Drawing on his agricultural background was a key strength as Tom forged out a new career as a property valuer. Over the last sixteen years he has built a comprehensive skills base covering all aspects of property valuations, specialising in large scale rural aggregations and extensive government work. As Director of Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy Tom is committed to providing DPVC clients with a professional and comprehensive approach to property valuations while maintaining a personal and prompt service. 

  

Tom would like to frequent the golf course a little more and no longer plays, but now enjoys watching cricket, football and horse racing. 

AMBER DONOGHUE

Director

Amber has always had strong skills in project management and administration. With a background in education, she brings a unique perpective to her management role with Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy. Alongside her husband Tom, she was a partner in their mixed farming operations, and she also completed the Principle Focus Management Program. Amber has a keen interest in real estate and has undertaken a number of renovations projects on investment properties, including the DPVC building and office suites. Tom and Amber have two children, Oscar and Scarlett and they have strong family connections in Gunnedah and across the region. 

As Director of Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy Amber is committed to working in partnership with Tom and the DPVC team to ensure they surpass client expectations and consistently provide the highest level of service. Outside of work, Amber finds joy in spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys unwinding by watering her garden, cooking and occasionally binging a Netflix series.

JOHN EWING

Senior Valuer
AAPI Certified Practising Valuer

John is Gunnedah born and after graduating from University in 1993 has worked in Sydney, Bowral, Gunnedah and London. His Sydney and Bowral valuation experience predominantly entailed prestige residential and rural residential valuation reports while his Gunnedah experience was primarily rural based. It is his London experience undertaking high value, complex investment valuations for institutional clients that makes John unique when compared to his regional based colleagues.

 

John specialises in the NSW Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991. He has previously been appointed as a determining valuer for the NSW Valuer General and worked extensively with landowners in Just Terms cases.

In his spare time, much to his wife Jules’ annoyance, John likes to get up at 3am and watch the Liverpool Football Club whenever they play. Much to everyone’s annoyance John also supports the Penrith Panthers.

CHRIS OXFORD

Senior Valuer
AAPI Certified Practising Valuer

Chris’ background as a rural property owner-operator in the Barraba district has equipped him with the extensive knowledge required to be a senior rural valuer with Donoghue Property Valuations. He completed a degree in Management - Sport and Exercise at the University of Technology, Sydney, culminating in a sports coordinator role at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School. His interest in the property industry redirected his professional focus, graduating with a Graduate Diploma in Property from Deakin University. 

Chris plays a pivotal role conducting Asset Valuations for NSW State Government whilst also conducting mortgage and asset valuations, particularly the rural asset class. Chris’s education and experience as a valuer, combined with his active participation in the rural property market gives Chris a unique perspective and understanding of rural valuations.

When he is not tending to his grazing property in Barraba, Chris enjoys watching AFL and playing golf or cricket.

ALISHA KELLY

Business Manager

Alisha became a valuable member of the DPVC team in August 2021, assuming the role of Business Manager. With an impressive background spanning over 25 years in administration and finance, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organisation. In 2023 she completed a Diploma of Business and Commerce through the University of Southern Queensland.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Alisha is a devoted wife and mother of four, cherished as "Grammy" to two adorable little boys. 

In her spare time, she finds solace in the pages of a good book, treasures quality time with her loved ones, and nurtures her flourishing collection of plants. 

NICOLE HUBBARD

Valuer | Quality Assurance Officer

Nicole hails from the Gunnedah District and pursued her education at Western Sydney University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business in Property Economics. Additionally, she completed the Real Estate Agent License Bridging Course.

 

Nicole boasts a diverse professional background, having worked in both the legal, property and equine industry in London and Australia. Her professional property expertise spans statutory and mortgage valuations, particularly in the northwest of New South Wales.

 

Outside of her professional life, Nicole has enjoyed renovating homes and engaging in house projects. She is a proud mother to her daughterand shares a deep love for animals, particularly horses. She enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.

KELLY DONNELLY

Valuer's Assistant

Kelly joined the DPVC team in 2022, stepping into the position of Valuer's Assistant. With a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design, Kelly's creative background complements her role and makes her a valuable asset to the DPVC team. She is committed to supporting the firm's mission of providing top-quality valuation services to clients.

Kelly's passion for design extends beyond her professional endeavours. As a mother of two young girls, she values balance between work and family life. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, often brainstorming new renovation projects for her family home.

Her creative flair and eye for detail bring fresh perspectives to both her personal and professional life.

SOPHIE JONES

Administration Trainee

Sophie's journey with us began in 2021 as a work experience student, during which her remarkable computer skills and efficiency left a lasting impression. Subsequently, she transitioned to a casual afterschool position, demonstrating dedication and adaptability.

Following her successful completion of Year 12, Sophie embarked on a full-time role with us, undertaking a Business Traineeship during her gap year. Her commitment and enthusiasm have been invaluable to our team.

Outside of work, Sophie finds joy in reading, attending Gunnedah Speedway events, and indulging in the timeless allure of "Friends" reruns. She also nurtures a passion for dance, aspiring to pursue it further at university.
